Exclusive to LGH the Equalizer has been developed as the simple
cost effective solution to fixed flange misalignment.
The principles of the Equalizer are simple. A hydraulic ram is
used, along with anchor and push clamps, to align the flanges.
Realignment on pressures up to 3000 psi is a relatively easy process.
- Usable on 75% of flange sizes
- Covers the range of Ansi, Api and BS flanges
- Easily used in confined areas
- Usable on both vertical and horizontal flanges
- On shore and off shore applications
- Commissioning
- Routine Maintenance
- Shutdowns
- Testing
- Valve Change-Outs

The Equalizer 3T(E) mounts directly onto the flanges using dowels and
brushes to suit
the bolt hole diameter, therefore eliminating any requirement for external
restraining
points. This factor ensures that no damage to surrounding pipework (lagging),
fire proofing, paint etc. occurs
The Equalizer 3T(E) is hydraulically operated by an external pump and
then the ram being an
internal part of the tool. The tool is in modular form making assembly
onto the flanges a
simple process. This allows the tool to be operated whilst viewing the
operating process
from your chosen location. Adjustable clamps provide the Equalizer 3T(E)
with a spread
of up to 15". The push wing has a maximum travel of 2 in a vertical
direction. The
bushes which locate in the flange bolt holes range from 1" to 25/8"
in diameter. The
Equalizer 3T(E) has a safe working load limit of 3 tonnes, therefore
covering approx.
75% of all flange sizes.
