Ratchet Jack
In this type the simple lever and fulcrum principle is used to
lift and lower the load. The downward stroke of the lever raises
the rack one notch, a pawl then slips into place to hold the load
while the lever is raised to take another bite.

Cable Reel Jacks
There are two types of cable drum jacks available from Lifting
Gear Hire, but both types are not necessarily available from all
branches.
Screw lifting and support jacks
These jacks have a large steel base and a mild steel screw with
crutch head to take the drum axle.
Ratchet raising and lowering jacks
These jacks have have a hardwood base and have a hardwood base
and have side hooks for carrying the drum axle.
